High School Hittting Clinics

Camps are run by Assistant Coaches Matt Grangetto & Justin Beck with the help of current Triton players.
Triton Baseball Camps are a great opportunity for prospective college baseball players to work with and be evaluated by the UC San Diego coaching staff.
Each player will receive top notch instruction from the coaching staff that helped the Tritons finish in 1st place in the powerhouse Big West Conference in 2024.
The High School Prospect Hitting Clinic is designed as a weekly progression where we will be adding in new drills, approaches, and techniques in order to aid in the development of a hitter.

- Week 1: The focus will be primarily on hitting mechanics, and setting up the foundation of the swing via cage drills with developmental tools, as well as on field BP.
- Week 2: Progress to understanding plate approach & coverage, pitch selection, as well as hitting off of a spin ball/fastball machine combo.
- Week 3: The final week will be covering the mental approach to having a quality at bat, as well as using data tools such as Blast Motion, Yakkertech, and video to measure exit velocity and launch angle, which will cover each players bat path and swing mechanics to understand ones strengths and areas to improve.

What to Bring: Please bring proper equipment. Bats, helmets, gloves, and athletic shoes/cleats. Please bring metal cleats.

Each athlete must bring the complete, signed Required Release Forms in order to participate at camp!
