Camp Details
Summer Youth Camps offer players the chance to learn from Triton coaches and players through specific training and drills, as well as compete against their friends and teammates in games.  We will split into age/skill specific groups in order to gear the instruction properly.  Here is what the typical day will look like: Functional Catch - this will be the basics of catch play integrating the fundamentals of each position group - double play turns and throws, relay catches and throws, ground ball footwork and throws on backhands and forehands, getting behind a fly ball and throwing to a base, tags, fielding bunts, etc.

Infield Stations - we will cover ground ball fundamentals and build into advanced plays - double plays, diving, forehands and backhands.

Beat the Infielders - a game designed to challenge the infielders and put pressure on them to not only catch the ball but make a quality throw.  Players and coaches will be hitting ground balls in an attempt to "beat" the infielders.

Pitching and Catching - pitchers will get to throw live bullpens to catchers - both groups will receive instruction during this time.

Hitting Stations - we will use tees, front toss, machines and live batting practice to cover the mechanics of a great swing as well as the approach for handling tough pitching.  We will discuss and train hitting hard line drives.

Games - we will play games including over-the-line (focus on quality defense and hitting the ball up the middle), two-base (requires defensive positioning and communication as well as offensive strategy and directional hitting), and coach/player pitch scrimmages.

Each athlete must bring the complete, signed Required Release Forms in order to participate at camp!

Camps may be canceled or re-schedule due to construction constraints at the Triton Ballpark this summer.

Drop Off
